Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
By approving a design proof, paying a deposit, or dropping off a vehicle or asset at our shop, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Paint condition & pre-existing damage
Wrap materials are engineered to adhere to sound factory (OEM) paint. Northwest Sign and Graphics is not responsible for paint lifting, clear coat peeling, or surface damage during installation or removal on repainted panels, aftermarket paint, body filler, or aged factory paint (over 5 years old).
Vinyl wrap film conforms closely to the vehicle body: existing rock chips, scratches, rust, or dents will remain visible beneath the wrap. Heavy oxidation or chalky, faded clear coat prevents adhesives from bonding correctly — if oxidation is present, surface polishing is required first at an additional fee. If wrapping over untreated oxidation is requested, we offer no warranty on adhesion or longevity for the affected panels, and we reserve the right to decline a job until proper paint repairs are completed.
Vehicle preparation & drop-off
Vehicles must arrive thoroughly washed within 24 hours of drop-off — and with no wax, polish, sealant or ceramic coating applied after washing. A standard prep wash is $85; vehicles arriving unwashed or muddy are charged a double prep fee of $170 on the final invoice.
Please remove personal valuables before drop-off — we are not liable for items left inside vehicles. Finished vehicles should be picked up within 24 hours of the completion notice; storage of $50/day applies after 48 hours.
Design approval & proofing
Production starts only after you approve a written proof. Final digital proofs represent layout and content — please check spelling, phone numbers, addresses and artwork placement carefully, as we are not liable for errors present on client-approved proofs. Screen previews (RGB) may vary slightly from printed vinyl output (CMYK). Design fees and deposits are non-refundable once design work has commenced, and the design fee is billed separately from production.
Deposits, payments & cancellations
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before we order materials or reserve installation dates. The remaining balance is due in full before vehicle or signage release. Deposits are non-refundable if a project is canceled after materials have been printed or special-ordered. Net 30 terms are available to verified corporate and government accounts after an established track record.
Warranty & care
We offer a 12-month workmanship warranty against vinyl lifting or peeling caused by installation defects. The films themselves are rated by 3M and Avery for 5+ years of outdoor use.
Do not wash the vehicle or expose it to high-pressure water for at least 7 days after installation. The warranty does not cover damage from pressure washers held closer than 12 inches, automatic brush car washes, gasoline spills, harsh solvents, or physical scrapes and collisions.
Signage & permits
Clients are responsible for verifying local zoning codes, building regulations, and landlord approvals prior to sign or window graphic installation.
