Apartment monument sign that still works after dark

A residential community's entrance sign has one job: be found by someone driving past for the first time, often in the dark and often in the rain. Everything else is secondary.

The face carries the community mark above the name in dimensional lettering, sized and spaced for reading at driving speed rather than from the sidewalk. Contrast between the letter faces and the monument surface does the work at night, when the landscape lighting hits it from below.
